Saw the replies to Matt Yglesias suggesting the copyright term be reduced to 30 years and now I loathe the PMC with the power of a thousand suns too.
It’s funny my “I’m always running across people I know elsewhere online on twitter” thing has upped to “in meatspace” with Brandon Bird lately, who was the artist-in-residence of my dorm. And I was Facebook friends so I’ve seen the whole process of him being feedback-affirmed into thinking himself some sort of righteous online champion.
But knowing how much of the ultimate source of the para-celebrity that led him to fancy himself such and, in fact, the actual IP hoard he is particularly defending comes from the time he painted my dormmates Kolb and Ben at their Sunday TV Room “Nintendo Church” with a dejected-looking Harrison Ford carrying a Sega Master System
