Portland, or at least active-engaged-don’t-just-incidentally-sleep-and-shower-here Portland, is probably less poly than it was when Portlandia was airing, as it started to draw more normie college grads on a “seems like a nice place to live!” basis, rather than just weirdos on an “oh god finally a refuge from both normie and coastal striver culture” basis. Like maybe 2010s normies that were actually somewhat 1990s weirdo-ward of 90s normies, but kinda superficially.

The poly thing at least seems to be turning around as the city heads on a more Seattle trajectory, though.
