I remember in 9th grade our gifted (“PEN”) classes were formatted as variations of core classes, I was in the “science” one, but also I guess maybe for faculty/facility utilization reasons they had some of the “Life Skills” (Down Syndrome but not so far gone they had to go to the Intermediate Unit) kids? And voguish pedagogy had us “making connections” and helping them learn in team activities, like imagine how imbalanced team projects normally are except now it’s literally retards paired with geniuses

Anyway this was how I ended up spending a good chunk of the year making a colored pencil pamphlet about firetrucks mostly aiming for my little cousin who was getting a copy.
