Is really striking how it reveals that it was incredibly specific parts of the brain it messed with (and maybe still have herpes-style dormant virus?) that correspond to incredibly specific functions to generate these exact particular symptoms when affected. And how the brain actually fails incredibly gracefully where when damaged these mechanisms fall back to a more rudimentary level of service or offload onto other, less finely dedicated mechanisms
