One thing about symptoms coming back like this is it helps tease apart what was what: I increasingly think my motion issues were a combination of some deficiency in conceptualizing myself inn3D space (what’s back now), issues in the actual nerves of the limbs (not back) and losing my muscle memory – either because the relevant area of the brain took damage, or because the established ways of using the body used nerves that were taken out of service and had to learn new ways using remaining intact ones
