In the post-apocalypse village my job will be to retell Star Trek episodes to the children like an ancient bard while old geek men boo me in the distance because I’ve remembered them all wrong.
I saw a performance once of Mr. Burns, a Post-Electric Play, a postapocalyptic play where the one bit of pre-apocalypse culture to survive, retold by survivors (parts are alternately immediately, 7 years, and 75 years post-apocalypse, as divergence accumulates) is Cape Feare, the Simpsons episode with Sideshow Bob and the rakes.
It really didn’t deliver on the promise of the premise!
