Jesus fuck, I had never seen this street in summer daytime broad sunlight
In the light you see the similarity to the parts of LA built in the transition from streetcars to automobiles
This is, in fact, why the city has so feverishly been planting street trees
On which note, coming back from trying out a new Brazilian cafe (nice, but a little too themey to go in regular rotation) noticed that the shade from all the (properly trimmed) trees makes my plot significantly more pleasant to the point you notice from the sidewalk
