I mean it’s necessary for a prime minister to be a nationalist, he wasn’t even that much of nationalist at all,he just promote people to be pride in their country and also was shinto follower. Almost every single ww2 participant countries denies their brutal crimes. Their leaders also refuse to apologise (including Obama)
28. mx-t4t0 said: @cyberangeltraveler the first two paragraphs of the “controversies and issues” section on his wikipedia page will tell you he regularly denied the war crimes of japan during WW2, and was affiliated with a ultranationalist and ultraconservative lobby group. and that’s just the first two. call me a snowflake but he doesn’t strike me as the “very friendly” type. maybe he was polite or well spoken but that doesn’t mean he wasn’t scum
