Does England have a cricket/soccer thing like America does with baseball/(American) football where the older one is really optimized for followability on radio broadcasts but the newer one works better with TV allowing home viewers to follow an entire multi-player play at once?

  2. jamie-b-good said: That does seem to be the case- I only have second/third hand anecdotes to go on but from what I gather, pre-television cricket was something one listened to on the radio, while football (soccer) was more of an in-person thing, with clubs chartering trains to take their supporters to away games.
