Into the ‘90s even there were one or two guys still making a thing out of the old “wooded plot just outside of town, sells logs to townspeople for burning” role, I guess because they were right along the main roads out of town and could put up signs to advertise lumber-by-the-yard and chainsaw sculptures to a large enough market, I don’t know if those plots were still the exclusive source tho
