Honestly a big thing was hearing about dry cave spelunking and realizing even without the water, danger aside, if just sounds tedious.

Like “ooh, you can explore an unexplored world”, bitch I have been playing video games exactly long enough to know that exploring caves is no fun if you have to map them yourself
