something funny i’ve noticed throughout the years when straight guys talk about men they would “go gay for” is that it’s normally a very similar archetype of man. men who possess great physical prowess and are emotionally withdrawn in a cool, masculine way, but are also very protective over friends/subordinates and will use the appearance of detached machismo as a conduit to deploy genuine acts of care and affection. they want to be fashioned into damsels by their bros. straight men are all Bond girls to me.
