on a train. guy sitting in the seat across from me is typing on a laptop. takes out a calculator, keys in some numbers. returns to typing on the laptop

if I happened to have a calculator on hand there are 100% many kinds of calculations which I would I simply do on my calculator

calculators actually have pretty good ux for a lot of kinds of calculation

i would agree if i didn’t have easy access to a terminal + repl with calculator features and readline support 

I do a lot of math by opening up a python interpreter and typing in the thing I want to calculate.

I do a lot of math on Google, my browser has a field for it right there already

    i can barely touchtype calculator expressions even with a number pad but i find it easy on a calculator
