Social media, is it a public utility? Are twitter and similar websites the digital version of public transport? If we treat them like public utilities, then letting them be ran by private companies and individuals etc isn’t a good thing. If we’re to have an international digital public utility, what laws now must apply to it? I think it’s crazy people consider twitter and similar to be anything other than platforms we use to look at pretty pictures and yell at minorities
