So yeah, I think the overall aesthetic of the house will be Japonisme-Art Deco-wood grain. Shouldn’t be overdone, helps they’re mutually compatible, in many places “wood at right angles” will serve for all three (and create a productive contrast with the living wood of the back yard) but there’s still flexibility to lean this way or that for each individual room or feature
