I feel like for as long as I knew, the understood form of a hot tub/jacuzzi/whirlpool was like cast in concrete in the ground by contractors same as a pool just smaller and with jets, and I laid out the backyard in my head on this understanding but now when I look they’re all these plastic formshaped aboveground off-the-shelf units and I look for specifically in-ground stuff and places are all like “hot tubs used to be all above ground boxes but now people are putting them in the ground for the ultimate luxury” and it’s like an aboveground unit installed 1 z-level below ground and I feel like I’m losing my mind
