Honestly you’d expect a queer man born when I was to be marked by the AIDS crisis, and cultural backlash, and the collapse of the ‘70s dream, and maybe, uh, men loving women wouldn’t get the worst of it, but it still makes it feel a little weird that I skipped that then in 2020 my brain was like “coast’s clear, you’re bi now, have fun with it!” and I was like “uhhh”
