The current complex of hijabi fetish as "racialized exoticized foreign Other woman" weirds me out because it feels like it gets the erotic potential of Islam backwards. The obvious way to go, IMO, would be the opposite, a more BBC-but-with-ideology-instead-of-race "foreign bad guys are stealing our women", but I see so little interest in that.
