One of the snotty urbanists needs to do a thing about how American it is that US aircraft carrier operations are substantially organized around parking – cycles alternate phases where airplanes are parked on the landing zone and launched from the catapults and ones where airplanes are recovered on the arrestor wires while the catapults are a parking zone
