Oh jeez, back in the 90s I heard, as a historical curiosity, that geek culture had been known for women writing and distributing “slash” stories where known characters had gay relationships, in like the ‘70s, but we actually sang filk after closing time at the New Jersey Renaissance Kingdom. I haven’t thought about it in a while, though.
