The first few years in Portland I lived with some kitchen guys who hadn’t graduated high school, and one of them was talking about how his family used to run grow houses after they left the cult and bragging if society ever breaks down he can grow food in the yard
And I’m like “in an actual situation of scarcity, that yard’s not enough to feed the guard labor to secure it, meanwhile where the fuck are you getting insulin from in this scenario?”
