Thinking about how many Portland neighborhoods are completely unrecognizable since I moved in a decade ago, like a stretch of 1-story, parking and vacant lots turning into 4-over-1 blocks, and how last year I made a trip back to LA and stayed in the nationally recognized single-family and 2-story-apartment neighborhood I used to live in and like, some of the stores had been repainted and they built like 5 townhouses by the freeway exit
