Weirdly KOEI-focused week here at Kontextmaschine.

Now wondering how much my appreciation of P.T.O./P.T.O. 2 was limited by the fact that as an American I hadn’t been exposed to what either the popular or realistic senses of how Japan could have won, at the time or coming up later in retrospect, were.

Like, in this scenario you have Yamato and Musashi and… how were they supposed to be used? I have no idea.

  2. sadoeconomist said: America was supposed to react like Russia did in 1905 and send their whole fleet straight to Japan and lose, Yamato and Musashi would have been the stars of the show in that scenario. Kind of a prime example of strategic planners failing because they were trying to win the last war instead of the next one.
