Watching Yakuza 7 code this specific style of stylish-severe glam as modern and Korean when to me it rings as nothing so much as visual kei-period late ‘90s Japanese
I mean maybe that’s the point, they’ve been doing some interesting things playing with succession and continuity there, they have a triumvirate of Yokohama ethnic faction leaders, the Chinese guy is almost like a rejected character sketch of Majima, the Korean girl is like anime-haired cyberpunk and the traditionalist Yakuza guy is the white-haired elder, a respected senior but clearly not the future
