Oh, huh, it got sold to the Japanese?
This is the aircraft manufacturer from my Sandpoint story, my motorcycle broke down coming back from a cousin’s wedding in Missoula and would normally have been a big thing (sheared pin in the timing mechanism of a CB350)
But when I wheeled it to the parking lot of an auto shop two guys came through, one who specialized in rebuilding CB350s and one who worked in this factory with access to stuff he could fab a replacement overnight
They talk about the company aiming at the “humanitarian flight” market. They were missionaries. The point of the plane was STOL/range/cargo capacity/an engine that runs on jet fuel where military infrastructure is OK but there’s no civilian avgas.
