Friendly reminder I side with the Legion because in the setting, the thing keeping humanity in an apocalyptic state isn’t a forgetting of technical capability but an inability to reach scale because the roads between stable settlements aren’t secure.

“The Roman Legion” is an entirely reasonable form for securing roads and enabling civilization; in contrast the NCR’s federalism and its Rangers would be overstretched and collapse trying to extend east across the desert and House’s Las Vegas doesn’t have the capacity on its own.
