Like on the one hand kind of admire the Democratic establishment for realizing they can tame their insurgent left flank by not cutting them any slack or tossing any scraps and letting the online left turn on them for not underpants-gnoming left policy into being, as a warning of what you get when you rouse the rabble
On the second hand, the Jimmy Dore left’s detractors, “these media figures are just constantly making you angry at the Democratic establishment as an engagement and brand-building effort to MAKE MONEY FOR THEMSELVES”, like… isn’t it now agreed that that was part of the conservative come-up? Fox News and talk radio weren’t like think tanks funded for the purpose of spreading the word, they’re for-profit enterprises.
On the third hand, like, this group is somewhat distinct from but overlaps with who got tagged as “dirtbags” and associated with Chapo Trap House, and I hear them dismissed as like… white trust-funders, or white “failsons”, or just clueless and white
And at some point, I suggest that whether you’re an electoralist poring over 2020 returns or a streetfighter reading Weimar history, “sure we may be disappointing gentry, downwardly mobile surplus elites, AND desperate nobodies looking for someone to overturn the system through force of passionate will, but that’s no problem, it’s only the white ones, and where can they go?” seems iffy
