There was a Jamaican Rastafarian reggae DJ who had a show on LA’s “Indie 103.1” in the mid-2000s who went by “Native Wayne” and people were constantly surprised to meet him cause while he was in fact a Jamaican-born, Rastafari-practicing disc jockey specializing in reggae no one had guessed from his radio voice that he was white

Similarly I was honestly shocked in the late 90s to learn Casey Kasem wasn’t black
