Both MeToo and the recent patriarchal nostalgia are about realizing that neither the post-68 promises (go about your business and you’ll find fulfillment in both mate and career) or even the post-war promises (go about your business and you’ll find security in both mate and career) are still operative; they’re each more foot-stomping acknowledgement of the issue than solution to
