So on -remember, remember!- the Fifth of November I’m remembering Graeme Bailey, the CS/maths professor who was an apt advisor to us brick-castle and SCA Risleyites, who in his purple-chunky-hair and motorcycle style was the Neil Gaiman figure we needed, who showed up to dinner once when we were on the LSD trip that taught me how I had failed feminism (to the tune of Dylan’s “Visions of Johanna”) and looked at us shoveling salad and Cheerios into our face and said, with understanding but also humor, “you boys are in a bad state”
