I mean this looks impressive, and it is
But you don’t fly planes like that without like 3,000 hours of flight experience, often closer to 7-10,000
And they first teach you that (“crab” landing in crosswinds) at like hour 8
The thing is when things go normal (and that’s at the outer bounds of normal performance) peacetime piloting is some boring Desert Bus shit
And the high requirements are like cuz if you’re still flying after 5,000 you probably performed through like 30 minutes of “well huh” moments alright and maybe even 3 of “hold on” to “oh shit”
Is it the drag on the back wheels which causes the plane to right itself when it touches down? Or is this handled more...
