My iPhone died hard enough and was old enough even if I saved it its network would get pulled this year so I got a new one

Thought about getting the SE cause it was the same form factor but went with the 8, but wow that extra 3/16” is bugging me - having to train my thumbs to reach further to hit the keyboard Q or window close from the right, and figure out a new grip one knuckle closer to the fingertips.

It IS thinner, that helps, when I get a case I’ll rough up the appropriate areas with coarse sandpaper to help the grip

The staff/music at the Verizon store I had to drive deeper east for was weirdly cool tho, more than the yuppie stuff I’d expect around here, maybe Portland! will survive the suburbanization after all
