This bar left NBC on after the Super Bowl and I’m catching snatches of This Is Us and it’s just… several nonintersecting plot lines of a demographic spread of characters where each one is just people coping with loss?
And I’m like… is this a melodrama? Does TV do melodrama? I guess Weeds was kind of one, at some point they realized their strength was Mary-Louise Parker doing “struggling to project confident command while actually experiencing abject terror” and kept rigging increasingly absurd setups for that
